Recipe: BBQ Chicken Pizza

I make this pizza all the time because it's quick and super tasty.  You can cut down on the time immensely by using pre-baked pizza crust.  I keep a package of individual sized pizza crusts in my freezer so I can whip up dinner really quick.


Pizza Crust (pre-baked, mix, or from a can)
3 cups cooked chicken, chopped
1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce (I use KC Masterpiece but grab your favorite)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup bacon bits (use real bacon, not the salad topping)


Spray your pizza pan with cooking spray then place your pizza crust on your pizza pan.  Pour & smooth your BBQ sauce over the surface of the crust.  Spread your chicken over the sauce. 
Mix your cheddar and mozzarella together and put 1 1/3 cup of the cheese mix on top of the chicken.  Sprinkle your bacon bits on top and then cover with your remaining 1/3 cup of cheese mix.  The reason why I do it this way is so that the bacon will have a chance to crisp. 

Make at 425 degrees for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is nice & crispy.  Serves 4-6.


○Try sauteed onions or bell peppers on your pizza.
○Substitute one of the cheeses above for provolone, fresh parmesan or swiss for a different flavor.
