I didn't mean to take a break, it actually seemed like the break was chosen for me. You see, I got....a promotion, I guess you'd call it? I still work at the same job, doing the same thing I've done for the last 4 years, for the same amount of cash monies, I might add --- but now I have MORE WORK to do. ("more work....yay!" said no one ever) Let's put it this way...my workload doubled/tripled depending on what month we're in and if the people who have things to turn in to me get those things turned in in time.
I'm a person who strives for efficiency. I like paperwork turned in on time so that I can start my work and turn it in on time. Well, peeps, life doesn't always work like that. Sometimes paperwork doesn't come in on time and you wait...and then it comes in all at once and you're overwhelmed. Sometimes things (like blogging, laundry & cleaning the house, for example) fall by the wayside while you're getting used to the newness of it all. Long story short, I'm still adjusting to the double workload + blogging. Who am I kidding? I'm still adjusting to double workload + life + cleaning/laundry + working out + etsy shop + whatever else I'm forgetting. I'm trying to cram ALLATHAT into one little life....and not go insane.
What I'm saying is....don't count me out, please. I'm not gone.
I will honestly say this about being ridiculously busy: I do love my job. I love the people I work with and the day to day actual work of it all. I know I am fortunate to be in the position I'm in and I am truly thankful for it.
So...if you can handle me, I think I'll come right on back. I like it here. It's cozy, don't you think?
