Again....?

Yep.  You got it.  I'm sick....again.

All the while my planner is sitting here, staring me in the face, telling me to GET TO WORK, YOU LAZY GIRL...the fact of the matter is, I can barely function this morning.

I'm going to have to reschedule all my would-be posts for next week.  Seriously, you guys, it's taking a huge effort just to write this right now.  I just have no energy.

So, pretty please, could you do a few things for me?  I'm working with a couple of amazing blogs this month and am giving away some neat-o prizes as well.

Visit Pink On The Cheek to win a month's free ad space on both of my blogs!

Visit Charm & Sass for a change to win a pair of my super cute leaf earrings from my Etsy shop!

I promise that as soon as I feel better, the posts will be coming at you like crazy...but for now, can someone fix me some soup?  Or bring me a Gatorade?  This girl feels gross:(

Loving Lately: Metallic Nail Polish

I remember when I was in Junior High, metallic nail polish was everywhere.  That cool iridescence made nail polish an event...the envy of other girls.  It invoked the thought of whimsical things like soap bubbles and butterfly wings; objects where, depending on the angle of view or the angle of illumination, the color changed too.  For a long time I thought metallic nail polish was the coolest - and then it wasn't.

I get it.  Trends come and go.  For a while, it was black nail polish or dark colors.  Neons & pastels.  I've noticed, though, that metallics are making a comeback and I for one, am super excited about it!  Here are some metallic shades that I am loving right now:

What's the haps, yo?

Not much is going on around here today so I thought I'd share some neat things that have happened recently....

My royal blue & silver chain bracelet was featured in 'The Royals' treasury on Etsy!

I dot-commed!  That's right.  I am now lifeofalostmuse.com!  I went through blogger to dot-com my stuff so that I didn't lose anything or have to switch to another server/provider.  Yay for dot-com-ness!

I was a featured seller in this month's LOVE CLUB box.  Yep, that's right.  Lil' ol me.  Everyone who purchased a Love Club box for December got a cute little package filled with confetti, discounts & two cabochon rose bobby pins.

My Etsy store, Fashion In The Forest, is the featured vendor on Heather's Love Club blog today!  Check out my article here!

Oh, one more thing...you can now shop my Etsy page directly from the Life Of A Lost Muse facebook page!

Get ready to go with HPNOTIQ!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hpnotiq for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hpnotiq has a new feature that they're like all the ladies and gents to know about.  It's called Primp & Prep.  You know that when you're headed out for a girl's night with your favorite friends, you've got to look good.  My friends and I used to meet and someone's house to get ready.

UntitledUntitled

It's that time where you can let your hair down music up!  It's all about getting ready before hitting the town in style!  I'd hear "Who's wearing what?", "Can I borrow some mascara?", "Those earrings look awesome!", "Oh, turn this song up, it's my jam!".....

This is the calm before you and your girls take the world by storm.  Primp & Prep! is an exclusive online site on hpnotiq.com.  The one stop shop, if you will, where girls can go to get all of their beauty, fashion, style tips, gossip, music, etc. before they hit the town for their girls night out.

UntitledUntitled

Primp & Prep centers around when young women get together with their girlfriends to get together for a night out.  There you can find recipes for drinks & at home cocktails, music (the site features a Pandora player so you can listen to music while you get ready), style, fashion & beauty tips.

Untitled-1Untitled

Remember, you must be 21 years or older to drink alcoholic beverages and as always, please remember to drink responsibly.  Have a plan when you go out.  Who your designated driver will be, etc.  Have fun, live louder, but stay safe!

Check out Campus Book Rentals today!

College is about to start back and with college comes textbooks and with textbooks comes empty wallets.  Well, that can easily be changed!

Campus Book Rentals is the perfect place to go to get your textbooks.  They've got excellent customer service, their prices are 40-90% off of campus bookstore prices & they offer free shipping both ways with flexible renting periods.  You can even highlight in the textbooks!

Campus Book Rentals also has a program called RentBack which allows students to make money by renting books out to other students!

My favorite perk of this company, however, is that with every book sold, Campus Book Rentals donates to Operation Smile.

Operation Smile is an an awesome organization that performs life changing cleft lip surgeries on children whose families could not otherwise afford it.  The long term improvement in quality of life for the children that receive these surgeries is almost incomprehensible.  Campus Book Rentals is proud to support the children of Operation Smile.

Get your books from a company that cares.  Get your books from Campus Book Rentals!

Currently.

reading The Night Circus.  I must say it drew me in from the start.  I love the mystery, magic and romance of it all.
writing blog prompts, things to get me motivated, stuff to write about.  If you have and suggestions, I am totally game!
listening cars driving past my office, as usual.
thinking that a nap would be good but I need to go home and do laundry, clean my room and put another coat of paint on my canvas project instead.
smelling the deliciously scented Strawberry Shortcake candle that one of my co-workers got for me.
wishing for a better, brighter, happier, successful year.  Also, that my Etsy store takes off & people start buying.  I was in the December Love Club box but didn't see any result of it:(
hoping *see "wishing".*
wearing this awesome cardigan that my roommate got me for Christmas.  I'm accessorizing with this fantastic necklace & of course I'm wearing black pants and ballet flats.  It's what I do.
loving that all my favorite shows are coming back from winter hiatus.
wanting a salad from this little restaurant in town.  It's got mixed greens, dried cranberries, toasted pecans and grilled chicken in it and it's SO good.
needing to get my laundry done.  That way I can move on to the sheets & blankets.  Oh, the fun of laundry...
feeling like weight loss is really hard.  I'm trying, though.
clicking publish, since I am done:)

Rebecca....

If you haven't visited {Let Them Eat Cake} yet, you really should.  Rebecca is a talented writer and her blog is so adorable.  I'm one of her sponsors this month and she wrote the best sponsor spotlight about me - I'm just so touched.  I really am thrilled by it!  You can see the post here and/or visit Rebecca by clicking the banner below!

Mani Monday

I'm trying to grow my nails out.  The problem is this - they snag and break easily.  I bought some Sally Hansen Complete Care 4-in-1 treatment polish because it says up to 30% longer and stronger nails in two weeks.  Sounds good to me!

I've paired it with a new color from Pure Ice that caught my eye while I was browsing the cosmetics aisle.  It's called 'On His Saddle', which is a completely random name for a nail polish.  It's a phenomenal metallic cerulean blue that just catches the light so beautifully!

I tried to find it online on the Pure Ice site as well as Walmart.com but it's not yet listed in either place so far.

So...what do you think? (please excuse my awful cuticles!)

Influenster Holiday VoxBox Review feat. Goody, Quaker, NYC New York Color, Kiss, EBOOST, Sole Society & Montagne Jeunesse

Hello, my name is Tiffany and I am an Influenster.

Basically, Influenster is a place for culture junkies to come together and share their unique opinions of products and experiences. Active members of Influenster get exclusive access to deals, promotions, and swag from brands that thrive off the input (the good, the bad, and the ugly -- they just want to know what's up).

As a very active member of Influenster, I sometimes get to participate in VoxBoxes.  You may remember this post when I reviewed the College VoxBox.  Well, ladies and gents, I've got another box to share with you.  This one is the Holiday VoxBox and it is seriously filled to the brim with some amazingly cool stuff.

The Holiday VoxBox contains:

  • Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal ($1.79 per cup)

  • NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine ($2.49)

  • Kiss Nail Dress ($6.99)

  • EBOOST ($28 for 20 powders, $39 for 30 powders or $39 for 12 bottles)

  • Goody Quikstyle Brush - Half Round Styler ($11.99)

  • Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks (Under $2)

  • and a coupon for $25 off a pair of Sole Society shoes.
Now, first off, this oatmeal is amazing.  The peach/almond mixture with the hearty grains was perfect.  There were chunks of peaches and tasty slivered almonds in there!  The containers are portable so you could basically eat them anywhere you had hot water or a microwave.  They come in four flavors:
  • Cherry/Pistachio
  • Peach/Almond
  • Summer Berry
  • Apple Walnut
The Peach/Almond is the clear winner to me.  The combination of those two in the oatmeal makes for a perfect breakfast!

I admit I was a bit aprehensive when I laid eyes on the NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine.  The color I was sent is called "Nude York City" and it is a deep, dark tan color.  I was pleasantly surprised, however, when I put it on.  It goes on light with just a perfect amount of color.  The gloss does not have a 'tacky' feel and lasts for a very long time.  It contains Vitamin E to keep lips moisturized.

I know I'm going to have fun with the Kiss Nail Dress.  The pattern I was given is called "Sexy" but I think of it more as fun little golden bubbles.  It's kind of ethereal, like a parade of mini bubbles on your fingertips.  They're very simple to use.  Just peel, apply and shape for a manicure that lasts up to a week.  They feature a built-in topcoat and come off easily without nail polish remover.  They come in 21 different styles.

By now we've all heard about 'energy boosts' and the benefits and deterrents of such.  Well, EBOOST is made of all natural ingredients to boost your mood, focus and immunity.  There is absolutely NO CRASH.

They come in either liquid shots or powder packets and are available in four flavors:
  • Orange
  • Pink Lemonade
  • Acai Pomegranate
  • Super Berry

It just so happens I was in need of a new brush so the Goody QuikStyle Half Round Styler was a godsend.  But this is no ordinary brush!  Aside from the normal bristles, this brush also features microfiber bristles that remove up to 30% of water as you style your wet hair.  It's like a towel and brush in one.  Since the microfiber bristles are antibacterial, it will never mold or smellWhen using it on wet hair, I could tell my hair was drying faster than normal.  That's awesome for me, as I have long hair that tends to take for-ev-er to dry!

Now Sole Society could easily be my weakness.  Shoes...and gorgeous shoes at that!  But some of them are in the upwards of $50 and not all of us can afford that.  Influenster knows this and is offering a $25 off coupon so that you can get a great pair on the cheap!  Use code INFLUENSTER25 to get that great deal!  They also happen to have a Buy One Get One Free sale going on now as well...

I've used Monagne Jeunesse Face Masks for years.  They're super affordable (under $2 each) and come in 59 different styles.  Whether you like mud masks, fruit masks, peeling masks, self heating masks, non drying masks or more...they've got them....and they work!

I must admit that I truly enjoyed everything in this box.  I think it was a well put together box filled with products that I love and will continue to enjoy!

This box was given to me free of charge by Influenster in exchange for an honest review.  No money exchanged hands and all opinions are my own.  Thank you, Influenster!
