[DORM ESSENTIALS] Feat. Kleenex Expression Oval Tissue Chevron Designs

I live in a town where college kids are everywhere.  Seeing them at Wal-Mart buying school supplies brings back some wonderful memories.  I lived in a dorm while in school and I remember loving the freedom of being on my own.  You get this dorm room that's like a blank canvas...you're free to decorate how you wish.  This is a great opportunity to let your personal style come through.

There are certain things that every college student needs for dorm life.  While you do have that new found sense of personal freedom, you also experience a new way of living, so why not make the best of it?  Here are some things I considered essential in my dorm life experience...

Shower Caddy - You might luck out and get a dorm room that has it's own bathroom or you might have communal showers like I did.  Either way, a shower caddy is the way to go when it comes to keeping all your stuff together.  Every girl needs things like razors, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, etc. & these things help out in a big way by conveniently toting everything to & from the showers.

Towels/Washcloths - I don't think it's possible to have too many towels/washcloths.  My advice is to have them monogrammed that way people will be less likely to steal them from the laundry room.

Planner - I seriously cannot stress this enough.  You're in a new world full of papers, meetings, social events, tests, etc. and it can be tough to keep up with everything.  Having a planner that you can carry in your backpack or purse helps keep track of your busy life.

Highlighters - I know you're probably thinking "duh" but hear me out.  I used highlighters not only for studying but also to keep track of all my school work, social events, appointments, etc.  Color coding each one helps keep track of it all.

Kleenex - These babies are multi functional.  Aside from the obvious, I used them to blot lipstick, clean my dry erase board, dust my computer, clean up spills...plus they're super cute.  The new oval box Kleenex Expressions in Chevron (a special Back To School edition only found at Wal-Mart) adds a cute accent to any dorm room.  They're only around for a limited time, so I suggest you stock up on the cute #KleenexStyle ASAP.

Rug - Let's face it, dorm carpet is just not cute.  It's meant to be there for the long haul so it's not soft or pretty.  Add a cute rug that not only accents your decor but also provides a clean place to sit on the floor.

Storage Bins - I'm pretty sure it's impossible to have too much storage space.  Dorm rooms are tiny so it's best to stock up on storage bins so that you'll have a place to keep all your extra stuff.

Bed In A Bag - Again with the 'duh' but when you're dealing with a small space, a fun comforter set can really show off your style.  Bright patterns add color & dimension to any room.

A Laundry Bag - In my opinion, a bag is a lot easier to carry up & down stairs (or even in an elevator) than a basket is.  Again, there are so many cute options to choose from so show off your style!

Mini Fridge - You need some place to store your food!  No one wants to eat at the cafeteria all the time so a mini fridge is a must!
