Friendships and human connections really are the most important things in the world. You could have the most amazing job, tons of money, lots of great possessions and every material thing you ever wanted, but without the right people around you you’ll be lonely and never experience life’s true potential. Having friends gives you security, a support network you can fall back on, they introduce you to new things, places and experiences. When you’re on your deathbed, it’s not the hours you worked or the money you earned that will mean something to you- instead it will be all about the friends, family and connections with people that you had. But what makes a good friend? Here are a few examples.





Be Trustworthy
Trust is everything in friendship. When a friend tells you something in confidence, it should go no further. It should be told to another friend, your partner or anyone else. Being someone that your friend trusts and can confide in creates a special bond between you. Having someone you can truly trust, open up to and be vulnerable to knowing there will be no judgement is incredibly special too.


Celebrate Their Successes
Lots of people can get a case of the ‘green eyed monster’ even when it comes to their friends. Getting married and having kids are things on the agenda for a lot of women. And, for many single women that are looking to start a family, the sooner the better. Play The Field

Dating is scary, awkward and unpredictable. First dates may not last longer than thirty minutes, or they may go on into the night. Still, nothing is guaranteed in the dating world. You might feel as though you’ve got the weight of the world on your shoulders at the minute. Teaching Morals With A Little Bit Of Style

Psychologists and behavioral scientists have examined the human quality of morals for a long time. Fortunately for them, some of the greatest minds in the ancient world had already done a lot of the philosophical legwork for them such as Socrates and Plato.

As parents, it's our job to pass down some of the good virtues that we have and allow children to understand why morals are important. ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you’ is the classic saying that has been passed down from generation to generation. That’s all well and good but such as important point should not be limited to just a simple phrase. The battle between good and evil is within us all, and parents need to be aware that teaching the proper ways to live is going to require some new school and old school teaching methods.

The ancient Greeks were magnificent at telling stories that had powerful meanings; we all know about the classical Greek tragedy plays. However, they had stories of kings that turned into paupers, and homeless characters that become famous for the strength of their character. If you have children going through a phase whereby their first romance has taken over their lives, you could teach them about Romeo and Juliet as well as Helen of Troy. Helen was a beautiful woman but she betrayed her husband for lust.

Her husband didn’t think that perhaps she wasn’t good for him anyway but started a war to get his wife back. So many people died including her husband who led his kingdom into ruin. This is a tale about what happens to both sexes when they choose lust over sense, they can end up losing everything. Romeo and Juliet is great for young girls in a similar situation. Rather than taking it slow as to get to know the boy, Juliet runs after Romeo purely for young love which amounted to lust also. In the end, she ruined her life and ended it all over a boy she had known for less than a week.



Stopping Evil From Spreading 

Children learn so much from online social media, especially video sharing platforms. They also learn a lot from video games as this is a way to play the key role in a story and also directly affect the outcome. Multiplayer games that have a story about good versus evil and why stopping it from spreading matters, should be engaged by parents and children.
